The Line It Is Drawn: Week 375

This week's Line It Is Drawn theme was to draw the Comic Book Wedding of the Century! I chose CyberVenom2001's suggestion for Captain America and Iron Man settle their Civil War differences with a Civil Union!

This was a fun one to draw, based slightly on Andy Kubert's cover to X-Men #30, the wedding of Cyclops and Jean Grey.

You can check out the complete gallery of Comic Book Weddings over at CBR.com: https://www.cbr.com/superhero-wedding-gallery/

Movillustration – This is the end/Beautiful friend

So Movember is now over and so is my Movillustration challenge, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK, and I somehow managed to draw 30 men with moustaches in 30 days (and just about avoided going mental during the process). Here's the last batch of images...

And here's something I put together for my Facebook Cover Image to promote my efforts, with all my moustache faces together...

You can view all my Movillustration images over at the Tumblr page I set up especially for this project: http://movillustrations.tumblr.com/ Also, if you still would like to donate for Prostate Cancer UK, you can visit my Just Giving page here: http://www.justgiving.com/movillustration

Avengers Assemble!

The other day I went to the cinema to watch The Avengers movie, which has been retitled Avengers Assemble here in the UK, presumably so as not to be confused with the British tv show from the 1960s also called The Avengers.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the movie, and decided to do this drawing based around the title change...

The Man In The Iron Mask

After yesterday's blog post about Daniel Craig starring in both the Bond films and the upcoming remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, today I saw the poster for the second Sherlock Holmes film and I began wondering if maybe there's a shortage of actors out there to star in all these franchise movies.

As well as playing Sherlock Holmes, Robert Downey Jr is also Iron Man and will be in next Summer's The Avengers movie. And Chris Evans (not that one!) is also in The Avengers as Captain America, but was the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies a few years ago. And before all this, Sir Ian McKellen was both Gandalf in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, and Magneto over in the X-men films.

Surely they must get confused about which character they're meant to be playing...
