Vote for KITT!

I am not an American. I do not profess to know much at all about American politics. Therefore I will not be commenting about who should win the current Presidential Election. But I will say that I would DEFINITELY vote for this guy...erm, car!

Attack The Blog: Life imitating art...?

Way back in January, I posted on this blog about all the layout changes being implemented on Facebook, and included a self-portrait inspired by Shephard Fairey's "Hope" poster featuring Barack Obama.

I liked this image and, after changing the text at the bottom, I used it on the cover of a 12-page booklet I designed to send out to publishers and magazines in order to promote my illustration work...



Yesterday I was attending a wedding and was wearing a suit with a red tie, and it suddenly seemed as though my real life was imitating my drawing...

Café con sketche!

This evening I was waiting in the Café at Foyles to meet some friends and go for dinner. While I was waiting, I did a couple of quick sketches from photos in a free magazine I picked up, and added some colour when I got home...

I enjoyed doing these, and it was a good way to pass the time. I might do some more next time I'm having a coffee somewhere...
