Today was my friend Cristina's birthday! And here's a card I made for her...

Baby Samus!
I drew this a while ago now for a competition to draw a Nintendo character as a baby. Although after I drew it, I realised that the closing date was the day before... Still, I was quite pleased with the picture, so here it is: Baby Samus from Metroid!

Happy Birthday June!
It was my friend June's birthday the other week...in June! And she was going to go to karaoke. I was meant to be going too, but then I felt really crappy that day so didn't go in the end. But I had still made her this card...

Happy Birthday Katy!
It was my friend Katy's birthday last week. She recently went to Japan for a holiday (Jealous!). And she has an awesome Zelda Fishing Tournament t-shirt!
Happy Birthday Colette!
It was my friend Colette's birthday last week. A while ago Colette was talking on Twitter about wanting to be drawn like a Disney character, plus she recently cosplayed as Zero Suit Samus from the Metroid games, so I tried drawing a Disney-style portrait of Colette as Samus...

Birthday card commission
I draw a LOT of birthday cards for my friends, but the other week I was contacted by somebody who wanted me to draw a birthday card for their husband Paul's 64th birthday. She sent me some photos for reference as well as giving me a bit of background information, like the fact that he enjoys fishing, and I came up with the following design...

Happy Birthday Tom!
As well as getting married, it was also my friend Tom's birthday recently. And Mario Kart 8 was released on the Wii U! While we haven't managed to get round to playing against each other online yet, I drew this Mario Kart-style picture of Tom for his birthday...

Congratualtions Tom and Beth!
I went to a lot of weddings during the last week of May! Well, two. But that still seems to be quite a lot for one week... Anyway, my friends Tom and Beth got married on the beach in Newquay, which my friend Ainé referred to as "a Home And Away wedding"! Fortunately the weather was amazing that day and afterwards I drew a card with Tom and Beth enjoying the sunshine on the beach...

Congratulations Kavita and Gus!
How time flies! Over a month ago, I went to the wedding of my friends Kavita and Gus. I had previously designed the invitation for their wedding with an illustration of them both on the front. Gus use to be in the Royal Air Force and Kavita works as a GP...
At the wedding Kavita's friend Jenny had made the (delicious!) wedding cake, and she told me that she'd had the idea to create the figures on the top of the cake after seeing my invitation...
And so when it came to making a card for Kavita and Gus, I thought I'd take some inspiration from Jenny's cake, and draw Kavita and Gus on top of a cake!

Happy 30th Birthday, Ghostbusters!
I make no secret of the fact that Ghostbusters is my all-time favourite movie. This year marks the 30th Anniversary of it's release in 1984, and more specifically today it's 30 years since the movie first premiered in California on June 7th, and so what better time to post this drawing I did to mark the occasion...
