Congratulations Kavita and Gus
My friend Kavita recently announced that she'd got engaged to Gus. They had drinks to celebrate the occasion a few weeks ago, but I hadn't had time to draw them a card. I managed to make up for it a little while later and drew them this card (Kavita is a GP and Gus flies planes)...

Trans-Plantable Living Room
Trans-Plantable Living Room is a living, edible performance space, grown by community gardeners, and will be hosting a number of interactive performances next month, in both Cardiff and London. I was asked by Lisa Woynarski to produce an illustration for a book documenting a performance project that she's working on as part of the Trans-Plantable Living Room.
Lisa sent me an extract from Michael Pollan's book Second Nature to illustrate. The text describes Michael's memories of harvesting vegetables from his Grandpa's garden and likens the experience to the board game Candyland, which gave me the idea of drawing a variation on the Candyland board, featuring the various fruit and vegetables mentioned in the text piece...

Life Drawing at The Vintage Emporium
This evening I went and did some Life Drawing at
The Vintage Emporium off of Brick Lane.
The model did some 5 minute poses...

Then some longer 15 minute poses...

After that I had to leave to go to a gig in Shepherd's Bush, but I'm hoping I can go along again soon to do some more life drawing...

Get Well Soon Chantel!
My friend Chantel recently hurt her knee and had to have her leg put in a... (not "plaster", but I can't think what the word is. "Leg brace thing"...?) Anyway, she loves Pokémon, so I drew her this Get Well Soon card...

Happy Birthday Eiko!
A few weeks ago it was my friend Eiko's birthday and she had planned to have a BBQ in the park to celebrate, with fresh seafood bought from Billingsgate Market in the early hours of the morning. In the end the party was relocated indoors because of the weather, and sadly I wasn't able to make it along due to being socially oversubscribed, but I did still draw a birthday card, featuring Eiko and her Catch Of The Day...

Happy Birthday Ivy
It was my friend Ivy's birthday last week, and today she had a slightly belated Birthday BBQ in London Fields. Here's a card I made for her with a drawing of her and her cat Socksy...

Summertime Blues
I had the idea for this comic the other week with the sudden arrival of Summer in the UK, but hadn't managed to sit down and actually draw it until today...

This is (mostly) just a joke, and I'm very pleased that the sun has finally decided to make an appearance. Although I would like it to be just a little bit cooler...

When Di-NES-aurs Ruled The Earth
Today is the 20th Anniversary of the UK release of the film Jurassic Park. Yesterday was the 30th Anniversary of the Japanese release of Nintendo's Famicom console (which was later released in the UK as the Nintendo Entertainment System).
Here is a pictorial amalgamation of those two things...
