Portrait commission

My mum recently commissioned me to draw a portrait of her friends, Chris and John, for their 40th Wedding Anniversary. As they spend a lot of time gardening, I used a photo of them together in their garden, which their daughter Karen sent to me.

As well as being New Year's Eve, today is my parents' 37th wedding anniversary. Here's a card I made for them, with them as sparrows. Because they like looking at the sparrows in their garden. And it's difficult to come up with something new to draw every year! :P
